スロープの家｜House with Slope

ご夫婦と愛犬４匹が暮らす家。各人（犬）が適度な独立性を保ちながらも、犬も含めた全員が家族として緩やかに結合している、新しい家族の形に適合した家を構想した。部屋と部屋の間に通常存在する「扉・廊下・階段」を、全てスロープに置き換えた。距離とレベル差を持つスロープによって、各部屋の空間的独立性を維持する一方、スロープによって滑らかにつながれた各部屋に関する情報（視覚・聴覚・嗅覚情報など）は段階的に消され／得られていく。こうして生まれる「前の部屋の余韻／次の部屋への期待感」により、家の中での一連の行動に一体感を与えることを意図した。

This house is for two elderly parents and 4 dogs. I tried to design a house which can accept this new type of family. So I designed a space that would allow these people/dogs to keep loose ties by keeping a moderate distance from each other. I transformed all doors/corridors/steps into slopes. Then each room is divided, but also keeps ties with the slope. When you are moving on the slope, you lose information of the past room and get information of the next room little by little. These experiences give you a feeling of loose ties about other rooms in the house.
